Thusday didn't quite sneak up on me this week, cats and kittens. Instead, I was hard-pressed on what I wanted to talk about for this edition. All I have to go on is one word: Inertia.
I've had a long standing issue with internal inertia... as in, I have trouble actually physically starting something for real. I have no trouble dreaming up and drawing out plans, or laying down some simple groundwork, but when it comes to action, everything inside me freezes and seizes up, like an engine with no oil or a car with a stuck parking brake. It really sucks.
Immense inertia leads to unintended procrastination, folks, and it's mostly why I generally do bulk recordings as a rule... but even that isn't really saving my back-end from the fire, if you pardon the metaphor.
I'm still trying to pin down just what is gumming up my internal gears; is it the fact I have too many moving parts too soon? Have I been inactive for so long and I'm just not used to acting in a snap? Maybe my personal expectations are just a little too high? Could I be in the throes of doubting my ability? Am I really just over-thinking things?
Regardless, it is something that must be contended against in regards to maintaining a channel, and something I hope to straighten out in the process of doing so.
Anyways, that's what's on my mind this week, cats and kittens. Until next time, have fun, be safe, and be awesome. I'll see you happy lot next week.
